My Carols of the Bells Remix

As a kid I used to love watching Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin was 10 months older than me, he was cute, it was such a feel-good movie and best of all... Carol of the Bells was such an epic song to listen to!

Mixing music was something I've always been interested in doing, right from the days of Fruit Loops, now renamed FL Studios.

Boxing Day 2018... I finally did it. It took six hours to mix up Carols of the Bells from the Home Alone movie with L'Orchestra Cinématique and although it's not remixed enough with original material to really promote it, I was still pretty happy with it for my first effort.

Matching up the audio with the orchestra music took the longest amount of time. Finding great samplings like Gregorian chanting, operatic voice effects, inserting piano pieces to thicken the sound and of course, finding the right church bell to create the dramatic effect... I most certainly take these things for granted when I listen to a song!

But I still haven't made a YouTube video for the song, that's been living on my SoundCloud account for quite some time. My three favourite feedbacks were:

There's about 110 days until Christmas. I really need to do a YouTube video for it soon!
