About this section

Streetkid Industries originally began in 2010 as a database covering Western Australian street life, policing, crime, drugs and related social issues.

 

The website was built from my own firsthand experiences, the books I wrote, years of independent research, and knowledge gained through completing Bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice (Police) and Counter Terrorism & Security Intelligence (Criminology).

 

Over time, my research interests turned towards documenting Perth's buildings, businesses and historic places. This eventually led to the Perth History Database, which has become the primary focus of Streetkid Industries.

 

As a result, the original Streetkid Industries sections were not updated for around six years while I decided whether to delete or keep them.

 

Rather than removing all of the original content, I’ve finally decided to review and update the sections that are still useful or interesting, while deleting material that is outdated or no longer reflects the current direction of the website.

 

Although Perth history is now the main focus of Streetkid Industries, these pages remain part of the website's history and continue to provide information on subjects that have long been associated with the project.

 

These pages are currently being reviewed and updated.
