Como Leonora Units

The Leonora Street Como units (no.46) are earmarked for demolition and it's only a matter of time before the Henley Rise Residences are constructed in its place.

Both 44 and 46 Leonora Street were sold together on 29 June 2020 for $34,000,000. With an area of 2,605m², the Henley Rise Residences development application was approved on 17 September 2020 with a budget of $40,000,000. This will see an eight-storey apartment complex comprising of 111 properties and basement car parking being constructed on these sites.

Number 46 was built in 1955 on a 1,290 m² block with four units.

Number 44 is a two-storey four bedroom, two bathroom house that was sold in January 2019 for $3,075,000 on a 1,315 m² block. Aside from a rental listing for $880pw, there are no other historical listings for this property. It's hard to know how the $34,000,000 comes into it considering how little 44 was sold for in comparison. On the afternoon I took the photos at number 46, a local elderly woman informed me that 44 would not be demolished, as the house would be used as a site office for the construction company.
