Hospital Wards (Rear)
Further wards were constructed in 1935 and the hospital continued to treat tuberculosis patients until 1939. The hospital continued to be managed by the Repatriation Department until 1942 when management came under Royal Perth Hospital. 1961 saw a decline in the need for a facility to treat tuberculosis, with the hospital turning to geriatric care instead, “special cases of patients” who didn’t require the continual nursing and medical care that a general hospital offered.
Nurses' Quarters
Sometime in 1942, the night nurses’ quarters and an emergency operating theatre were constructed. Management returned to the Repatriation Department where it remained that way until 1982.
