Operations Bunker

The Operations Bunker is located north east of the Observation Post, somewhat submerged in the sand dunes and bushland with most of its walls built below ground level. A basic rectangular shape, a narrow three metre passage faces south into the main structure leading to a steel door into the building at the end.

The bunker is constructed with double-bricked walls and concrete. A number of open brick windows allow for ventilation and to provide low level observation. The inside walls have been covered with graffiti, with the earliest date scratched into the entrance doors dated 19 June 1949.
